Construction Project Manager/Foreman Position

Description:

The primary job tasks will assist managing 2-3 residential construction projects in the East Bay and North Bay, with crews of 2-6. Ensure projects are executed on time, on budget and to the client's satisfaction. Time will be spent split between the field and office.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Site supervision daily or as needed

  • Ensure project is on schedule and within budget per estimate

  • Read and understand building and landscape plans

  • Maintain the project using Contractor Foreman (Project Management platform) to update the schedule, estimates, invoices, change orders, plans/design updates, appliances and materials, and weekly meeting notes

  • Manage weekly meetings

  • Work with our in-house design team throughout construction

  • Assist in-house design team with permitting

  • Schedule subcontractors

  • Schedule inspections

  • Order materials

  • Manage Safety meetings with crews

  • Assist with estimating and change orders

  • Daily Logs

  • Maintain a high standard of safety practices and ensure proper PPE is on site

Skills & Proficiencies:

  • Proficiency in English

  • Proficiency in Spanish preferred but not required

  • 5-7 years of construction management experience, Construction PM degree, or PMP certified

  • Proficiency with computers and with MS Office (MS Excel and Word), Adobe Suite and Google email)

  • Proficiency with Project Management Tools

  • Knowledge of building and construction practices and building codes

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with crews and clients

  • Research building methods and new technologies
