Orinda Backyard Revival

This Orinda backyard had a steep slope and lacked a flat space for the residents to enjoy their land and view. The goal was to redesign the space so that it takes full advantage of the homes setting; creates optimal transitions between the indoor and outdoor spaces as well as the different levels within the landscape; and define spaces for gathering and playing. We transformed the disjointed and uninviting space into a modern, functional, and safe place for kids to play.
